Beauty and Wellness Brunch

My very first event at my studio turned out so nice. I'm proud of myself for pulling it off. Not only was the food great, the energy from the attendees was amazing. I could go on and on about how grateful I am to be walking and working in my life purpose work. Let's just say its been a long time coming. You see, back in 2000 when I made my transition to the the big city from Savannah,  I promised myself that I would help women build high self esteem and create happier and healthier lifestyles for themselves and their families. At that time I wasn't quite sure as to how it would be done but I knew I would get there, eventually. It's only been a 17 year journey ;-) God's timing is truly best because if I had started my current journey any sooner I would have lacked the experience and compassion to genuinely connect with women on this level.

"Trash the labels" was the highlight for this event. After I spoke of my own weaknesses and insecurities that I felt held me back from being the best version of myself. I had the attendees identify their own and trash them as we replaced them with positive affirmations.

I gained just as much from this event as the attendees did, if not more. This is a new journey for me just as well as them. We are all being stretched into the greatest and highest version of our selves and that requires time, energy and effort.

I can barely wait until the next brunch (January 13th), the theme is Manifest Your Dream Life, its a vision board brunch. I'll be sharing tips and secrets on The Law of Attraction, heart centered goal setting, and strategy tips on how to map out your success. Tickets will be available soon and of course this is a small workshop so reserve your spot ahead of time. I'd love to see you there

Here's What Trena had to say...
It was an amazing event. Meeting you was such a blessing. The exercises we did took me completely out of my comfort zone, but I’m so glad I did them. Can’t wait for the next brunch! #TrashThoseLabels

I'm very excited and grateful to share my new book, It's Not Luck, Get In the Zone (coming soon)  with these lovely women and the ones I meet in the near future. This book is dedicated to the woman I was 10 years ago;  the mentor, big sister, auntie or friend that I needed but didn't have during rough times, when I was experiencing emotional chaos or investing too much time and energy into a dead end unhealthy relationship. Not only am I sharing those life lessons, I'm giving my readers the tools and step by step techniques on how to heal from past trauma and move forward into a life that only seemed to be a dream. I will tell you that this book within itself has been a journey. I initially announced that I was writing a book back in 2013. I was three years deep into my journey and I thought that I was ready to share what I had learned so far with the world. I've change the title about five times but the content was always the same. Any way, I'm not going to give you too many details because of course you'll find out what took so long, my struggles and how I overcame them when you buy the book ;-)
