There's a New Kid on the Block: Covington Square Restaurant Review for Your Pie

There's a new kid on the block in my neck of the woods.  I must say that I'm both thankful and ecstatic about the growth that is taking place in Covington, GA. I've lived in Covington for almost 12 years, so I've literally watched the transformation and growth over the years. I'll admit that I didn't think the economic growth would be as slow as it has been; which has forced this foodie goddess  to explore other surrounding areas for my foodie fix.  That is slowly yet surely shifting as East Atlanta is growing in popularity with the entertainment industry.  Yep, that's right little Covington Square has had a number of movies and sitcoms filmed there.  Vampire Diaries, In The Heat of The Night, Flight with Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys just to name a few.

So, lets dive right in.

The environment is warm, friendly and intriguing. The assembly line for your custom pizza was a very nice touch. You select your pizza type and crust, watch as your toppings go on and then off to the brick oven. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They bring your order to your table after your name is called. One of the best things about Your Pie is the speedy service, despite the crowd.  Overall, I'd say its a nice location for family dining and/ or a business meet up.

So, now the dish.

I ordered The Nat, which consists of chicken, basil pesto sauce, spinach, sun dried tomatoes, mozzarella and feta cheese. It was tasty, very tasty and the vanilla bean gelato was a great treat for desert. They do serve wine and beer, however I didn't notice until after I was almost done eating.

The story of Your Pie

The concept of Your Pie began in May 2006 when founder Drew French was inspired to cook pizzas in brick ovens during his honeymoon. Visiting his wife’s family on the island of Ischia, Drew fell in love with the brick oven style of baking pizza.
