I really hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving; I had a wonderful holiday with my family in Savannah, Georgia and Jacksonville, Florida. This year was extremely untraditional for me; yet I enjoyed every moment. Normally, my mom, my daughter and myself throw down in the kitchen but we decided to do something new this year, my family and I went out for dinner to one of my favorite restaurants in Savannah; The Pirate's House. The buffet was spectacular to say the least; traditional holiday fixings, southern cuisine and seafood.
Being that I didn't have any domestic duties for the holiday, I placed more focus on my personal style this year. I also got the opportunity to spend some quality time with my daughter and my five year old niece and let me tell you she is a riot; I think she's going to be a "mini-me" I caught her watching my every move as I got dressed and put on my makeup for dinner. In the picture below with her, you can see she even tried to pose like me, too cute; I love it!
I can honestly say that I've learned to cherish every moment with my family; life is short. Live, laugh and love as if your life and happiness depends on it because it does!

Kickoff of the Healthy Eats Tour Atlanta
I finally made my way over to Kale Me Crazy to kick off the Green Goddess Healthy Eats Tour. I must say the atmosphere was cozy and quite refreshing. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful. I'm a stckler for customer service, so i'll most certainly return soon. Holly helped me select my lunch; which turned out to be amazing and yummy. I orderd the half organic turkey wrap and half kale salad, along with a Recovery smoothie. I was a happy camper; great tasting nutritious food, great customer service and low calorie intake, what more can a lady ask for.
Until next time Kale Me Crazy ;-) XOXO The Green Goddess

We Will Never Forget 9/11
A day we will never forget, many are still traumatized. I pray for healing and restoration for their souls and peace for their spirit... #911 #neverforget
Spent my morning at the waterfall reflecting and meditating. I'm so thankful for this moment in time, nature and the simple pleasures in life. We make time for what's important in our lives; spiritual rejuvenation should be a priority...

The Power of Life and Death is in the tongue!
Happy Hump Day my loves! Who and what are you allowing to enter your spirit through the power of words? Our words create our experiences in life; the words of others shape our subconscious mind, which also shapes our reality... So, who and or what is shaping your reality? Be mindful of lyrics, reality t.v. shows; etc and the company you keep.

This is one self-love principle that seems to be a challenge for women. At times you gotta stop, take the "S" off your chest and find your zen. In a society where many brag about not getting any rest because of the "grustle"(grind and hustle), my dear, you are doing yourself a disservice, as well as your loved ones. Statistics show that a brain and body that does not get adequate rest is equivalent to an intoxicated individual. A woman with a recharged spirit, well rested body and clear mind can take on a city! Take pride in taking care of yourself and having "me time", it's one of the secrets to doing more with less, relieving stress and helping to maintain youthfulness.
Sending lots of love and sunshine your way, make it an amazing day! xoxo The Green Goddess
